Ole Miss Fans Have Lost Their Minds Over the Texas Game

I’ve seen some folks over-react. I’ve seen some prisoners of the moment get swept away by a 5 mph wind. Mississippi fans have flat lost their mind over being 2-0 and the Texas Longhorns coming to Oxford. Even though College Gameday refused the Grove they are still planning to revive Rebel football through hardcore tailgating and daydreaming. Admiral Ackbar should’ve been named their official mascot because their heads are in a galaxy far, far away.

Here is some info I’ve collected from Ole Miss fans:

The last event this spectacular was the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.
There are people paying $20,000 or more for housing for the two nights.

Oxford airport will be a paparazzi’s dream Friday.  All kinda celebs landing at OX International. Lots of GIVs and Vs filing flight plans from Texas to Oxford.
Most have been told to drop off their passengers and head elsewhere to park.  No room on the tarmac for the hundreds of requests.

Matthew McConaughey either throwing private party at Taylor Grocery or Big Truck Theater in Taylor Friday night.

Several former Texas Governors throwing private parties around town.
Bevo, the UT Longhorn, is coming.  Yep.  Had it confirmed by Chancellors Office.  They’ve never taken him to an away game.  They asked to walk him through the Grove.  “No, not a good idea” was the response.  He will lead team out of the tunnel.

Need a dinner reservation Friday night?  Might be easier to get two tickets to
2013 Super Bowl.

Expect up to 100,000 people in the Grove on Saturday.

Closest comparison is LSU game Eli’s senior year.  This should easily top that.

    Rebel fans are living in a fantasy world if you think your going to beat Texas. Texas wins 42-10.
