Mississippi State football had one of their better Signing Days in recent memory on Wednesday. The Bulldogs held on to all their top targets and added several quality pieces to the class to move up in the national ranks. Their class ranks No. 26 nationally according to the 247 Sports composite.

Bralan Womack officially a Bulldog

Mississippi State got a huge win before the start of the Early Signing Period when 5-star safety Bralan Womack flipped to the Bulldogs from Auburn. Despite some outside noise that Womack may end up back in the Tigers' class with the news that they were retaining DC DJ Durkin, Womack signed with MSU, giving the Bulldogs an elite defender to build around for the coming seasons. Jeff Lebby was Womack's primary recruiter, and he deserves a ton of credit for making this happen.

Mississippi State made great additions to signing class

The Bulldogs had several big recruiting wins on Wednesday. 4-star edge Micah Nickerson flipped to State from Missouri, giving MSU a high-level pass-rusher. A pair of quality defensive lineman joined the class in former FSU commit Tico Crittenden and former Michigan State commit Chris Addison. 3-star wideout and former Arkansas commit Keymain Henderson Jr. signed with State, and the Bulldogs beat out Auburn for 3-star running back Cooper Crosby.

Bulldogs enjoy drama-free Signing Day

Mississippi State is used to seeing some drama on Signing Day, typically losing at least one key commitment to a rival program. But that was not the case on Wednesday. 4-star TE Zayion Cotton stayed firm to MSU despite pursuit from Ole Miss. 3-star DL and Alabama-native Kaleb Morris had his in-state SEC programs pushing him late, but he too didn't waiver. Every prospect the Bulldogs were confident would be a part of the class signed.

Mississippi State still fighting for pair of blue-chips

There are still two more days of the Early Signing Period, and Mississippi State is in the game for a pair of 4-star prospects who have yet to sign. OT Bryson Cooley is committed to LSU but is not expected to be a Tiger. The Bulldogs are fighting with Alabama for his signature. LSU decommit and former MSU commit WR Kenny Darby is another the Bulldogs are hoping to land, with Kentucky also in the game.
