We have almost reached the end of the Great Starkville Restaurant Challenge here on Maroon and White Nation. One Semifinal is complete between Harvey’s and Casa Bravo, and we focus on our second Semifinal, The Biscuit Shop vs Stagger In Sports Grill. Just as a reminder, the winner of this semifinal will advance to the final matchup of the Great Starkville Restaurant Challenge. Let us remind ourselves of each of the restaurants for a bit.
The Biscuit Shop
The newcomer of the contest, and one of the steamrollers of the competition, the Biscuit Shop has blazed a path through the competition to this point. The Biscuit Lady and her shop has become one of the most popular locations for breakfast in Starkville. With specialty biscuits for every day and a reliable base of biscuits, the Biscuit Shop has become the hottest spot in Starkville for breakfast ware.

With a large social media following on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, The Biscuit Shop has interacted with their patrons constantly and provides “Shelfies” to give a current look at the supply of biscuits on their shelves at any time. Her new location is in Downtown Starkville at 104 S Washington St., Suite 3. So be sure to visit her, and other competitors in the Great Starkville Restaurant Challenge.
Stagger In Sports Grill
Located in the old location of “The Grill”, Stagger In Sports Grill has become a popular location both during game days and during the week. With a loyal following on both social media and in person, Stagger In or “The Stag” has a good base to draw from for both support and loyal patronage. With different types of food available for you to take part of, no matter what your preference is, you can find exactly what you would like for your late night food flair while you enjoy a beer on the patio.
Their path to the semifinals started with Stagger In taking on The Dawg House Sports Bar and Grill, then they went up against Umi, and lastly they took on City Bagel to earn their place in the Great Starkville Restaurant Challenge Semifinals. Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest information, deals, and some examples of the food they supply at The Stag.
