Mississippi State softball set to take on South Carolina in second round of the SEC Softball Tournament
The 25th ranked Mississippi State softball team finally ended a 13 year drought of winning in the SEC Softball Tournament. Now, MSU is aiming to advance on into the SEC Tournament semifinals. That won’t be easy though. Mississippi State is now set to meet up with the 12th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks.
South Carolina is a team that ran right through MSU in the regular season, sweeping the Bulldogs with what appeared to be relative ease. South Carolina is an incredibly strong opponent and MSU will likely have issues with the Gamecocks, especially when you consider that the 3rd seeded team earned a bye and didn’t have to play yesterday while Mississippi State had to battle the Texas A&M Aggies.
