Take a look at the SEC power rankings after two weeks of play.
Each SEC team has now played two games in the 2016 football season. At this point teams are beginning to shape an identity. We, as fans, are learning certain teams strengths and weakness. We’re becoming familiar with new play-makers for our teams. And most of all we’re not the edge of our seats waiting for Saturday.
Hopefully these power rankings can help SEC fans get their football fix as we anxiously await our team’s next game. Feel free to check out the previous week’s rankings and compare. And as always leave me your thoughts, comments, and concerns on Twitter @JaldridgeMandWN.

14. Missouri (1-1, previous rank: 14) Barry Odom got his first win as head coach Saturday against Eastern Michigan but I’m not impressed. The tigers need to beat somebody decent before they climb the rankings.
13. Kentucky (0-2, previous rank: 10) UK got drubbed by Florida last week. Many more of those beat downs and Mark Stoops could be looking for a job.
12. Vanderbilt (1-1, previous rank: 12) No movement this week for the Dores. Like Mizzou, their opponent wasn’t good enough for them to prove anything.
11. South Carolina (1-1, previous rank: 11) No offense to speak of keeps SC solidly at number 11. They caught a determined MSU squad at the wrong time.
10. Mississippi State (1-1, previous rank 13) The emergence of an offense, A.K.A. Nick Fitzgerald, moves our Dawgs up 3 spots. Still a long way to go to compete in the West.
9. Auburn (1-1, previous rank: 8) The offense looked good against Ark. State but I’m still not sold on the War Eagles as a real SEC player.
8.Arkansas (2-0, previous rank: 9) It’s possible TCU isn’t as good as we thought but UPig still beat a top 25 team this week. Arky continues to climb the rankings.
7. Georgia (2-0, previous rank: 3) I’m dropping UGA this week due to consistence. They beat a ranked UNC team then almost lost to a FCS school. Can the get consistent play from either quarterback is the question.
6. Florida 2-0, previous rank: 7) The Gators imposed their will on Kentucky. The offense looked really good and the defense was better.

5. LSU (2-0, previous rank: 5) LSU has a major flaw and its holding them back in these rankings. They cannot throw the ball well. Fortunately, the have the best running back in the nation.
4. Tennessee (2-0, previous rank: 6) UT was slow out of the gate but finished strong and took care of business against Virginia Tech. Based on talent, the Vols should still the the favorite in the East.
3.Texas A&M ( 2-0, previous rank: 4) I’m high on the Aggies. They have as much talent as anybody. They just have to keep it together all season.
2. Ole Miss (1-1, previous rank: 2) Ole Miss is staying put this week. Talent wise they have it all but can Swag Kelly hold it all together?
1. Alabama 2-0, previous rank: 1) Death, taxes, and Alabama football under Nick Saban. The three certainties of life.
Is it Saturday yet?
