"Located just behind the main strip of bars within the Cotton District, Commodore Bob’s Yacht Club provides a unique experience within the hustle and bustle of the Cotton District. With something on the menu for everyone, Commodore Bob’s will bring you away from the craziness outside to calm you down and allow you to enjoy the food they give you.Their menu features some items like Pimento Cheese Stuffed Bella, Blackened Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Croque Monsieur. Then you have Bob’s Burger which consists of turkey, pork, spinach, tomato relish, onion, homemade pickles, mayo, mustard, and fries. It was a relatively easy victory for Commodore Bob’s. They took in nearly 2/3 of the vote.
City Bagel Cafe
Josh Barnhill did the first round pairing featuring City Bagel Cafe. Here is what he shared about their establishment.
"The City Bagel is another place who has a specific item in their name, but they offer much more than that. Obviously bagels are their specialty, but they also serve lunch and three times a week they offer “Italian night”. The reviews from those dinners have been very positive.City Bagel is definitely a unique place for its versatility – they also have a wine night. Located across the street from The Little Dooey, City Bagel has many loyal fans they’ve developed through the years."
City Bagel went up against the Beer Garden, both restaurants known for being unique locations in the city. It squeaked out a victory more closely than some of our other pairings. It won with 55% of the vote.
