The College World Series game between Mississippi State baseball and North Carolina got pushed back to today due to the weather in Omaha

And now we get to see the Mississippi State baseball team play the North Carolina Tar Heels. This game was supposed to get going last night, but, because of concerns with the weather in the Omaha area, it was delayed until today.

That gave Mississippi State and North Carolina one more day to rest. And though that’s not a bad thing, that rest likely benefits the Tar Heels more than it does the Bulldogs. In their first game, North Carolina used several more pitchers than MSU did and used them more extensively. That put a slight advantage in MSU’s favor when the game was supposed to be played last night.

Regardless, it’s officially game day, folks! Here’s everything you’ll need to watch the Mississippi State baseball team battle against the North Carolina Tar Heels in game six of the 2018 College World Series.

But, MSU must win today if the Bulldogs want to have a realistic chance at advancing. With the double elimination nature of this portion of the College World Series, a win would force North Carolina and Oregon State to play in an elimination game. That would put MSU ahead of schedule rather than forcing the Bulldogs to play catch up for once.
