Mississippi State baseball has a young star developing in Dakota Jordan and the talented freshman has made a statement on his future with the Bulldogs.

The Mississippi State baseball team didn’t have much fun during the 2023 season and there were plenty of ups and downs along the way. For a young talented star like Dakota Jordan, that could potentially lead to opportunities to play elsewhere, as we’ve seen from some other players who have moved on to different programs.

But it appears that Jordan is 100 percent committed to continuing on with his college baseball career in Starkville. Rather than leave, it looks like Jordan is intent on staying with Mississippi State.

After all, he did previously enter and the subsequently leave the transfer portal in a brief and confusing swirly of rumors. And now Jordan is making it absolutely and totally clear as to where he wants to be.

And he then goes on to dispel the notion that he’s leaving.

To cap off his statement, Jordan also highlights how a new season is up ahead on the horizon and the Bulldogs intend to be fully prepared going into next season. Mississippi State baseball fans have to love that sort of enthusiasm and commitment to their favorite college baseball program.

The Bulldogs have had some rough luck in recent years. After winning it all in 2021, Mississippi State baseball fell off a bit in 2022 and 2023. The team is talented and has potential. Here’s to hoping that Jordan, and his teammates, can make things better in 2024.
