Mississippi State baseball set to battle the North Carolina Tar Heels in the College World Series

The Mississippi State baseball team and the North Carolina Tar Heels are both coming off of impressive wins. Now, both teams are aiming to move forward in the winner’s bracket on their side of the College World Series.
Mississippi State knocked down the Washington Huskies in impressive fashion. The Bulldogs won a pitchers’ duel thanks to a fantastic start by Ethan Small, solid performances out of the bullpen, and then a walk-off hit from Luke Alexander in the bottom of the 9th inning with one out. MSU won 1-0 over Washington.
North Carolina advanced on to this point after an impressive upset win over the Oregon State Beavers. Many have predicted that Oregon State would win it all this year, but the Beavers suffered a bit of a set back in the form of an 8-6 win by the North Carolina Tar Heels.
