Mississippi State baseball heads to Tuscaloosa to battle the struggling Crimson Tide
Gary Henderson has taken the Mississippi State baseball team across state lines to go play the Alabama Crimson Tide. Bama, much like MSU, has struggled throughout the year and especially so against opponents from the Southeastern Conference.
Mississippi State should be able to claim this series, given that Alabama’s record against SEC opponents currently sits at 5-16. That’s not much of a record to write home about. But, MSU has tripped up before. Yes, the Bulldogs have some big wins over highly ranked foes, but MSU has also lost to some of the worst teams in the nation.

This is a series that the Mississippi State baseball team should certainly win. Alabama, a struggling foe, has not been good at all throughout the year and has been even worse in SEC games. Mississippi State has shown what it is capable of by winning five of seven games against top 5 opponents in Arkansas and Ole Miss.

The Bulldogs can’t afford to slip up here. MSU is fighting for a chance to make it into the postseason and a clean sweep here would certainly help the Bulldogs do just that. The series starts tonight at 6:00. Hopefully that’s the beginning of a sweep for Mississippi State.
