Ben Beckwith was signed as an Undrafted Free Agent after the 2015 NFL Draft.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Ben Beckwith has an uphill battle to climb if he is going to be on the Chargers’ roster when the regular season starts. Undrafted free agents always have a hard time making rosters, and he is battling an injury to go along with it.
But uphill battles are nothing new to Beckwith.
Beckwith’s rise from a walk on to 3rd team Parade All-American has been well documented. Nothing was expected out of Beckwith when he left high school, and there really isn’t anything expected of him now that he has left Starkville.
And while those things may be true, it’s hard to imagine Beckwith not surprising everyone and making a team somewhere. It’s what he has done ever since he started playing the game of football.
