Here’s everything you need to keep up with the Mississippi State basketball game as the No. 7 Bulldogs host the No. 15 South Carolina Gamecocks.
Arguably the biggest game in the SEC’s slate of women’s basketball games is happening tonight in Starkville, Mississippi. The Mississippi State basketball team is hosting the South Carolina Gamecocks and these two teams are both looking to get a leg up on the race to win the conference this season.
The Bulldogs and the Gamecocks are both aiming to claim the Southeastern Conference this year and these two teams have been the best in the SEC over the past few seasons. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see either of these teams come out on top.
Mississippi State claimed the regular season title a season ago and South Carolina edged MSU out for the SEC Tournament title last season. So, either the Gamecocks or the Bulldogs could go the distance in the SEC this season and nobody would be shocked.

Prediction
South Carolina has taken a bit of a step back this season, but it looks like the Mississippi State basketball team is still chugging along at full speed.
There’s a very real possibility that MSU may have taken a step ahead of the Gamecocks last season. If so, then the Bulldogs should be able to take another jump forward this year as well.
The Mississippi State basketball team scores more points per game than any other team in the country with 91.4. South Carolina manages to put up 74.8 points per game. The Bulldogs hold foes to 55.5 points per game. South Carolina holds teams to 61.8 points per game. MSU should win a close game here with the score being somewhere along the lines of 82-78.
