As excitement builds around the second season of the Chris Jans era of Mississippi State men’s basketball, here’s who the Bulldogs will face in SEC play.

We now know which SEC foes Chris Jans and the Mississippi State men’s basketball team will be facing during the 2023-2024 Mississippi State basketball season.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the second season of Mississippi State men’s basketball under Jans’ guidance. And a fascinating slate of games against Southeastern Conference foes certainly adds to the excitement and intrigue surrounding what this coming year could be for the Bulldogs.

Here’s what the 2023-2024 Mississippi State basketball team’s SEC schedule shakes out to be.

All in all, it has plenty of potential to be challenging for Jans and the Bulldogs, but with the team that State brings back, it should be relatively manageable.

Here are the home games that MSU fans can check out in the Hump:

  • Tennessee Volunteers
  • Vanderbilt Commodores

  • Kentucky Wildcats

And here are the away games MSU will play:

  • Florida Gators
  • LSU Tigers
  • Missouri Tigers
  • Texas A&M Aggies
  • Auburn Tigers
  • Kentucky Wildcats

Here are the Bulldogs’ permanent opponents (the teams Mississippi State will always play both in Starkville and on the road, unless things change drastically with the SEC’s addition of Texas and Oklahoma, that is):

  • Ole Miss Rebels
  • Alabama Crimson Tide
  • South Carolina Gamecocks
