By Ethan Lee
The Mississippi State basketball team is up in Fayetteville, Arkansas to get the SEC slate started up. Here’s everything that you need to know to keep up with this game.
Vic Schaefer has his 7th ranked Mississippi State basketball team up in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the first game of their year. It’s not the first game of MSU’s season, obviously, but the Bulldogs are getting 2019, and their SEC schedule, started by taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
As the Mississippi State basketball team wrapped up its non-conference schedule, the Bulldogs ended 2018 with a decent amount of momentum. Vic Schaefer and MSU were handed their first loss of the season when they went on up to Eugene, Oregon for a game against the Oregon Ducks, but MSU responded well.
State throttled the Washington Huskies in Seattle by 47 points and then crushed the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns back in Starkville by 68 points.

Prediction
The Mississippi State basketball team should be able to go into Bud Walton Arena and come away with a victory here.
Arkansas has certainly improved upon where they were a season ago, but the Razorbacks are far from being a truly great team yet. Mike Neighbors and his coaching staff have come a long way, but they still have a long way to go. The safe bet is for Mississippi State to come out on top of this game, and it will probably happen by double digits.
