Mississippi State Football Post Spring 2018 Depth Chart Predictions

This was published all the way back in May. May 7th, to be exact. The calendar was flipping from spring to summer and the temperature was rising. The Mississippi State athletic season was getting close to being done for the 2017-2018 year and the spring semester was almost finished.

It’s not a surprise that people were ready to pivot towards football. And, with spring football wrapping up, it was time to take a look at what the 2018 depth chart might look like.

Of course, with those predictions being made, people were interested in checking out what was going on and who might play over another player. This was a hot button topic of discussion prior to summer and before there was absolutely no football to talk about until the season began.

With some starters departing and a senior-laden roster set in Starkville but with a brand new coaching staff present, it was intriguing to see how things could possibly play out.

Of course, Kylin Hill beating out Aeris Williams was one of the more intriguing, but ultimately less surprising surprises that we were given by that brand new coaching staff that was present.
