Vic Schaefer and the No. 8 Mississippi State basketball team are hosting the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in the Hump today. Here’s what you need to know about the game.

The 8th ranked Mississippi State basketball team is back in action this afternoon as the Bulldogs are gearing up to battle the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. Vic Schaefer and Mississippi State are looking to wrap up 2018 with a win and wrap up the non-conference slate of games in the process. A victory over Louisiana would certainly be something to celebrate heading into next year.

Mississippi State won’t have too much to worry about with Louisiana today. The Ragin’ Cajuns have been struggling this year and have only won two of their ten games this season. That gives them a winning percentage of just 20 percent, which as it turns out is not very good.

So, the No. 8 Bulldogs, who are very good and have an 11-1 record this year, should win this game and should win with ease.

How to keep up with the game

Projected starting lineup

  • Jazzmun Holmes
  • Jordan Danberry
  • Chloe Bibby
  • Anriel Howard
  • Teaira McCowan

Mississippi State should win this game and, in all honesty, the Bulldogs should win this game by a rather large margin.

And that’s what this team needs to end the year. The Bulldogs, just 12 days ago, lost their first game of the season to Oregon in demoralizing fashion. A couple of days later though, the Mississippi State basketball team responded by beating the Washington Huskies by 47 points.

Another big win like that to cap off 2018 and the non-conference schedule would be great to watch and great for MSU.
