After several rough years for the MSU men’s basketball program, the Bulldogs finally seemed to make a breakthrough last year. Making it into the NIT felt like the dam finally broke for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and MSU played well in the postseason.
Now, this year is supposed to be a year in which the Bulldogs finally make it back to the NCAA Tournament. Ben Howland’s teams typically make it back during the third season that he takes over a program, but rebuilding the Bulldogs took a little bit longer than that.
Now, this season, the patience that fans have placed in this Mississippi State basketball team will need to be rewarded. MSU needs to have a great season in 2018-2019.
