When Stephen Guidry and Osirus Mitchell took the field against Texas A&M, the two wide receivers for the Mississippi State football team had dominant performances.
Nick Fitzgerald has needed someone from the receiving corps to step up and play to their full potential. When Fitzgerald did just that, he was met with similar levels of excellence from Guidry and Mitchell.
Stephen Guidry only had three receptions, but he also had 130 receiving yards (leading all players for this game) and a touchdown. Mitchell was targeted more regularly by Nick Fitzgerald and had 6 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown of his own.
What was great about the performances from Mitchell and Guidry is that the two have experienced their own fair share of struggles playing on big stages. Both players have had drops this season in crucial moments.
Against Texas A&M, Guidry and Mitchell made difficult plays seem routine and also effortlessly made routine plays for the Bulldogs.
