SEC Football: The Auburn Tigers are looking for some life and a win while Ole Miss is aiming to continue shocking its opponents.

It’s pretty clear that fans of the Auburn Tigers aren’t happy with how this season is going. Gus Malzahn has led his team to a 4-3 record and this was supposed to be a team that could challenge Alabama and Georgia for the SEC. Instead, that role is being taken by the LSU Tigers down in Baton Rouge.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss may not be able to make it to a bowl game, but they’ve had a relatively successful season so far. The Rebels are torching their foes on offense and then subsequently allowing for their foes to torch their defense.

The Auburn Tigers will bring a talented defense to Oxford, but that’s about it. Ole Miss is bringing a talented offense to the field, but that’s about it. Who comes out on top in this game? Will it be a great offense or a great defense?

How To Keep Up With This SEC Football Game

Why does this SEC football game matter for Mississippi State football fans?

So far, the only truly notable win that the Bulldogs can hang their hats on right now is the win over the Auburn Tigers. Auburn came into the year with national title hopes and has come crashing down to earth.

The Bulldogs were part of bringing Auburn back down to reality, but the Tigers fell to the Tennessee Vols last week. That’s not excusable and it completely tarnishes MSU’s win.

For that win to start looking good again, Auburn needs to start looking good again. If the Tigers come out and beat Ole Miss convincingly, then Mississippi State football fans can start to feel good about that one.
