SEC Football: The Mizzou Tigers are traveling down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to tangle with Nick Saban’s top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.
Drew Lock is aiming to bounce back after two consecutive rocky performances. Unfortunately for him and the Mizzou Tigers, Lock won’t find an easy target to have success against this weekend when the Tigers face the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama, on the other hand, has a chance to extend its winning streak and remain undefeated on the season. The top ranked team in the country is imposing its will upon its foes with ease this year as Alabama has a newfound was of crushing opponents thanks to an explosive, high powered offense.
The next team that stands in the way of Saban’s perfect team happens to be the Missouri Tigers. There’s little to indicate that Mizzou could actually pull off an upset here. The Tigers don’t have much of a chance this season. It will be interesting, however, to see how long this SEC football game can remain competitive.

Why does this matter for Mississippi State football fans?
If you’re looking for a game in which the Alabama Crimson Tide don’t come out on top, this game almost certainly isn’t it. Alabama is incredibly good this season and Mizzou has struggled against foes that are inferior to Alabama.
So, what’s a good reason for Mississippi State fans to watch this SEC football game?
Keep an eye on Mizzou’s rushing attack. The Tigers actually have a pretty good running game going for themselves this season, though it’s not as good as MSU’s. If Mizzou can run the ball on Alabama, then it might give the Bulldogs a theoretical and relative weakness to expose later this season.
There’s a multitude of ifs and buts about this matchup and MSU’s game with the Tide later this year. There’s a good chance that neither of these games turns out to be competitive. Still, this game is something that MSU fans can keep an eye on just to get a feel for Alabama this season if you don’t have one just yet.
