SEC football: Kirby Smart is aiming to lead the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs to victory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana against the No. 13 LSU Tigers.
The 2nd ranked team in the country is heading over the Death Valley to face off against the 13th ranked team in the country in a huge SEC football matchup. Kirby Smart will be guiding his No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs down to Baton Rouge as Ed Orgeron and the No. 13 LSU Tigers look to bounce back from their loss last weekend.
This game is a highly anticipated matchup as the two teams are both ranked pretty high up, but the matchup has lost some of its intrigue. Had the LSU Tigers gotten past the Florida Gators without any sort of hiccup, then this game would be the most intriguing game of the weekend and LSU would have College Gameday present.
Instead, the Tigers fell short. Now, they’re looking to bounce back against the Bulldogs, but that won’t be an easy thing to do given how good Georgia is this year.

Why does this matter for Mississippi State football fans?
This weekend, the Mississippi State football team is getting a nice, welcomed break. The Bulldogs are 4-2 overall after knocking down the then No. 8 Auburn Tigers. MSU could really use a win against LSU next weekend to propel the Bulldogs forward.
Luckily enough for Mississippi State, the Georgia Bulldogs get to take a swing at LSU this weekend. This game should be a physical matchup that will test LSU’s resolve. The Tigers must bounce back from their loss last weekend and a second straight loss could cause lasting issues for LSU.
If the Tigers get roughed up a bit this weekend, then next weekend’s SEC football game between LSU and the Mississippi State Bulldogs will get rather interesting. MSU gets to rest and then will bring a physical running game of its own into next weekend.
