SEC Football: The No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats are looking to continue their climb in the rankings while the Texas A&M Aggies are aiming to survive a physical home test.

The No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats have taken the entire SEC football landscape by surprise this season. The Wildcats have taken the SEC by storm, knocking down the Florida Gators, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Wildcats have been physical and dynamic and are having a once-in-a-lifetime type season for the Kentucky faithful.

Texas A&M is set to host the Wildcats. The Aggies have experienced some ups and downs so far this year, but their only two losses have come to two of the top ranked teams in the country. How To Keep Up With The Game

Why does this matter for Mississippi State football fans?

A fact that we are all far too familiar with this season is that the Kentucky Wildcats came out and thumped the Mississippi State Bulldogs. This was supposed to be MSU’s year and Kentucky started the derailing of that. Florida then followed it up last weekend.

The Wildcats are currently having a phenomenal season and they’ve got a chance to continue that, but it might be difficult to win against Texas A&M. This game will serve as something of a measuring stick for both teams that Bulldog fans can use to get a better feel for how that MSU-A&M game might play out later this season.

Oh, and a Kentucky win would help Mississippi State in the SEC football standings. The more conference losses that teams like A&M have, the more MSU has a chance to move up in the SEC football standings. The Bulldogs have to win though for it to really matter. It’d be great if MSU could get back to winning. If MSU doesn’t start winning, then nothing from this section really matters anymore.
