Watch Oregon State and Washington battle each other in a College World Series elimination game
The Oregon State Beavers and the Washington Huskies didn’t exactly start the 2018 College World Series off in a manner that they were hoping for. Now, two of the other three teams in Mississippi State’s side of the bracket are looking straight at elimination today.
Oregon State and North Carolina got the College World Series started off and the Beavers didn’t fare too well. Oregon State fell behind the Tar Heels and couldn’t ever get all the way back into the game. Thus, North Carolina came away with an 8-6 win over Oregon State.
The Huskies also lost their first game. This one significantly lower scoring than the one that came before it. Mississippi State baseball’s Ethan Small came in and silenced the Huskies at the plate, setting Luke Alexander up to come in and walk things off, giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 win in Omaha.
