MSU fans have bee quick to get ready to go up there.
But there’s one group traveling up there that is a pretty special one.
Matt Lea, who lives in Florida, dropped in to visit his parents before Father’s Day, seemingly surprising both his mom and dad as they were eating. But that wasn’t the only surprise that Lea was able to give to his parents, who were grateful that he was there.
Matt Lea brought a Mississippi State baseball shirt to his dad, wearing an Ole Miss hat. The Ole Miss hat was quickly removed and the MSU shirt held up for the camera to see. And that’s when Lea told his father that he wanted to watch the College World Series with his father this weekend.
Except, he didn’t want to do it at home. He wanted to take his father, who is battling Alzheimers, up to Omaha for one last trip.
