The SEC offices announced the Mississippi State versus Louisiana Tech game played in Starkville will kick off at 11:00 a.m. and be televised on the SEC Network. And for the third time in four weeks, the game will begin either at the same time or within 30 minutes of the Ole Miss game. Their game against the Memphis Tigers will begin as well at 11:00 a.m. and be televised on ABC.
Here is a tweet from the SEC’s official account with all of the necessary information.
CBS has yet to use their option to hold off on picking the game they choose to televise the week of the games themselves. Most of this has had to do with the simple fact there hasn’t been a lot competing for the top game on the SEC schedule.
Mississippi State played on CBS four times in 2014. The remaining chances for the Bulldogs to be the marquee matchup of the week are dwindling in 2014. it’s possible they could have their game with Alabama broadcast on CBS, and unless they enter the Egg Bowl with just the two losses they have now, and ole Miss has just the one, it’s unlikely the Egg Bowl would be chosen for CBS like it was a year ago.
So an early start for the Bulldogs on October 17th. Make sure to take some breakfast food for your tailgate.
