It's weird to say this, but we're already getting closer and closer to the conclusion of the NCAA softball season. Meanwhile the SEC softball season is in full swing (and also getting kinda close to SEC Tournament time).

The season is starting to wrap up and we're starting to get a clearer picture of what the postseason will look like. Mississippi State softball fans should be thrilled with where Samantha Ricketts has the Bulldogs this year.

As we head into the SEC softball slate for this weekend, let's take a look around at what's going on.

That's right, we get some Monday softball! And it's the conclusion of a ranked SEC matchup in Tuscaloosa, Alabama between the Texas A&M Aggies and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

There are several fun series to keep up with in the Southeastern Conference this weekend. The SEC softball scene is just as competitive, if not more competitive than the SEC baseball scene happens to be. And as you look around, you're going to see a ton of ranked matchups this weekend.

The Tennessee Lady Vols will be in Starkville to meet up with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. That's obviously a series you'll want to pay attention to. But there are some other ranked series as well. The Missouri Tigers are welcoming the Florida Gators to town. And of course, there's that aforementioned TAMU-Bama series. And that's not even getting into the Arkansas - South Carolina series!
