SEC softball schedule: Mississippi State Bulldogs take a break before final stretch
By Ethan Lee
The SEC softball season is winding down. Well, the entirety of the 2024 NCAA softball season is getting closer and closer to wrapping up. But, in the Southeastern Conference, this weekend promises some exciting series matchups across the conference.
As teams battle for better position in the SEC softball standings heading towards the SEC softball tournament, let's take a look at the series and schedule for April 19th-22nd, 2024.
Starting with Friday.
SEC softball schedule: April 19 - 22
Friday, April 19th:
- LSU Tigers vs Tennessee Volunteers at 5:00 PM
- South Carolina Gamecocks vs Florida Gators at 5:00 PM
- Missouri Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs at 5:00 PM
- Ole Miss Rebels vs Texas A&M Aggies at 6:00 PM
- Alabama Crimson Tide vs Arkansas Razorbacks at 6:00 PM
On Saturday, we can add the Kentucky and Auburn softball teams to the mix.
Saturday, April 20th:
- South Carolina Gamecocks vs Florida Gators at 11:00 AM
- LSU Tigers vs Tennessee Volunteers at 11:00 AM
- Missouri Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs at 1:00 PM
- Kentucky Wildcats vs Auburn Tigers at 3:00 PM
- Ole Miss Rebels vs Texas A&M Aggies at 4:00 PM
- Alabama Crimson Tide vs Arkansas Razorbacks at 8:00 PM
On Sunday, just about every series gets wrapped up.
Sunday, April 21st:
- South Carolina Gamecocks vs Florida Gators at 10:30 AM
- Missouri Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs at 1:00 PM
- Alabama Crimson Tide vs Arkansas Razorbacks at 1:00 PM
- LSU Tigers vs Tennessee Volunteers at 1:00 PM
- Ole Miss Rebels vs Texas A&M Aggies at 1:00 PM
- Kentucky Wildcats vs Auburn Tigers at 6:00 PM
And we even get the treat of watching some SEC softball on Monday night. Because the Kentucky Wildcats and Auburn Tigers are starting their series on Saturday, we’ve got a game to watch on Monday (it’s selfish, but as a fan whose time is limited on any given day, I wish they staggered more SEC series this way so I could catch more games).
Monday, April 22nd:
- Kentucky Wildcats vs Auburn Tigers at 6:00 PM
Samantha Ricketts and her Mississippi State Bulldogs are getting the week off to take a bit of a break and that’s because of the way the SEC staggers out SEC softball series. There’s an odd number of SEC softball teams because Vanderbilt doesn’t compete in the sport. So, we get 13 SEC softball teams (and 15 when UT and OU show up next year).
And thus, a break for the MSU Bulldogs this weekend.
