Mississippi State basketball’s Jessika Carter is an unstoppable force

As is often the case, Mississippi State women’s basketball’s very own Jessika Carter proved to be one of the most dominant forces in college basketball with her overwhelming and very impressive performance against the Kennesaw State Owls.

Carter has long been one of the most talented players on the Mississippi State roster and she certainly showed her potential as she imposed her will to the tune of 31 points in a remarkable and efficient effort. Carter shot 14-19 from the field and routinely established herself as a star in this game.

As Carter hasn’t always been able to play this season, it’s more than clear that Sam Purcell’s team has a significantly higher ceiling when she’s 100 percent and available.

There just aren’t many players that are this talented and the Bulldogs will need someone to routinely step up if Carter isn’t on the court. But if she is playing, there aren’t many players who could actually be expected to slow her down.

Quite simply, Carter was by far the best player on the court for either team. And that’s by a significant margin. 31 points. 73.7 percent shooting. 13 rebounds. Two blocks. The only thing she struggled at was free throws.

But if that’s the only complaint in a 40+ point win, the Bulldogs are doing well, all things considered.
