Best Bets

Evan: Clemson @ NC State – Let me be the first to say that I do not love this weekend’s board. Kansas, UCF, and FAU are all enticing picks for me on this lackluster CFB Saturday, but no I have to put my chips on someone who is tried and true. A proven winner. Dabo Swinner is that winner. Tigers go on the road and take care of business. Clemson -10

Justin:  BYU @ No. 7 Texas – Texas is going to have to play a backup quarterback this week against the BYU Cougars. BYU is getting 17.5 points. The change at quarterback is going to give the Cougars a great chance to cover that large spread. BYU +17.5

Ethan: Arkansas State @ UL Monroe – Trusting Butch Jones to win games has not always appeared to be wise and my beloved alma mater of Arkansas State University made such a choice. I can’t change that. You can’t change that. It can’t be changed. Interestingly enough, Jones has one of the most talented teams in the Sun Belt and has found an offense that really seems to work (ignore that disaster against Troy a few weeks back). A-State is flawed, but they’ve had some really fun moments this season. And now they’re set to take on a disaster of a Louisiana-Monroe team. I’m going to trust Butch Jones again. Expect the Red Wolves to get a road win and one step closer to a bowl game. Arkansas State +2.0

John: No. 3 Ohio State @ Wisconsin – My best bets are far from your best bets to take away from this weekly article. Right now I’m 1-4 on these, I think. Just brutal. But the show must go on, and I do have a best bet again for you this week. I’ll go up north for the Ohio State game at Wisconsin. The spread is 14.5 in OSU’s favor, but I think this is a game the Buckeyes win much bigger. Ohio State -14.5

Andrew: Purdue @ Nebraska – I finally won a best bet. Service Academy Unders never fail us. Do you know who we’ve forgotten about? Them Cornhuskers, who are quietly 4-3 and have figured some things out since losing to Coach Prime. They run the crap out of the ball and play good defense. You know who can’t stop the run and struggles on offense? Purdue. Both these teams are banged up, so maybe they bite me. But I’ve got Big Red at home. Nebraska -2.5

Ryan: Michigan State @ Iowa – Iowa is off this week so I cannot bail myself out with an Iowa under best bet to try and get out of this hole I am in currently but I see a Big Ten game that looks mighty ugly on the docket this week. Michigan St/Minnesota U40.5

Next. Under the radar games to watch. dark
