Week 9 SEC Game Picks and College Football Best Bets
By Evan Ertel
South Carolina @ Texas A&M (-14) (O/U 54)
Evan: After weeks of South Carolina showing us who they are, it’s time we actually believe it. In all honesty, I don’t love that this spread is a full two TDs, but there’s no way I let myself pick the Gamecocks on the road. Texas A&M -14
Justin: Each week, State’s loss to South Carolina looks worse and worse. That trend continues this week. Texas A&M -14
Ethan: Texas A&M has lost two in a row, but they get the benefit of playing in College Station. It’s a beige and boring place with too few trees, but they’ve got an interesting atmosphere that can be tough at times for opposing teams. The Aggies have shown they can be tough to beat at Kyle Field, just ask Alabama, who was not able to pull away against A&M. Texas A&M -14
John: I keep expecting South Carolina to be closer in games to their opponents than they ever are. This week, however, I suspect A&M will run away with this game – I just don’t think the Gamecock defense will slow down the Aggies enough to keep this one close. Texas A&M -14
Andrew: I don’t feel great either way about this one, because for as bad at USCe has been, they can throw the ball around. And A&M’s pass D has struggled. But their DL might terrorize Rattler. I don’t see A&M’s offense being stopped though. I guess I’ll trust their defense to do enough. Texas A&M -14
Ryan: South Carolina only has an offense and it is hit or miss. That’s all they have at this point and A&M has a good defense that can slow them down. A&M can cover this with their defense and SCAR’s bad defense. Texas A&M -14
