Vanderbilt @ Florida (-18.5) (O/U 52)

Evan Ertel: I’ll keep saying it until it’s not true: Vanderbilt is terrible. It makes me a little uneasy for Florida to put up that many points, but there’s just no way they don’t cover. Which means they absolutely won’t, but oh well. Florida -18.5

Justin Strawn: Vanderbilt is awful but I’m not convinced Florida can cover this big of a number against most teams. Vanderbilt +18.5

Ethan Lee: Which Vanderbilt team shows up? Which Florida team shows up? Can we trust either team to actually be consistent? Vanderbilt has been the more consistent of the two, I suppose, but they’ve been consistently underwhelming. Billy Napier can’t afford for this game to be too close if he wants to keep coaching in Gainesville. And I’m not convinced that Vanderbilt has the firepower to keep up with Florida. Florida -18.5

John King: Florida looked awful last week. Vandy has looked awful for years. This doesn’t seem like one of those times the underdog will surprise everyone by catching the blue blood in a down year. It’s a lot of points to cover but I think Florida will do it. Florida -18.5

Andrew Miller: Neither of these teams likes to cover a spread. ATS, UF is 1-4 while Vandy is 0-5. I expect UF to score pretty easily, but I have no idea whether they’ll stop Vandy enough to cover the spread. 18 is like a perfect number. Vanderbilt lost to both Kentucky and Mizzou by 17 at home. Those teams are better than the Gators, but it is in the Swamp. Still, I think Vandy backdoors this one. Vanderbilt +18.5

Ryan Strickland: Florida got absolutely manhandled and embarrassed last week by Kentucky but Kentucky is showing to be one of the toughest teams in the conference if not the country. Vanderbilt is not tough and they are not good. Florida is still a lot better than Vanderbilt even with their faults. Florida bounces back and wins big. Florida -18.5
