Mississippi State’s offensive line faces an unfavorable matchup against Alabama

We’ve seen offensive line issues from the Mississippi State Bulldogs on multiple occasions so far this season. State struggled to get a push against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions at time, had its hands full with Arizona’s defensive front, was bullied by the LSU Tigers, and then gave up four sacks against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Mississippi State absolutely has to find a way to keep Will Rogers upright if the Bulldogs’ offense is going to find a way to put up points in this game. On top of that, MSU also needs to run the ball more effectively if this new look MSU offensive scheme is really going to work.

State has had a hard time against less talented defensive fronts and there’s little to indicate that the Bulldogs will thrive at the line of scrimmage as MSU faces off against Alabama.

And if Alabama’s pass rush causes the Bulldogs some problems, it’s going to be a long evening for Mississippi State football fans.

This would be a great time for the Bulldogs’ offensive line to figure out some solutions for whatever it is that isn’t working right now. We’ll see if that happens.

Should it happen, the Bulldogs will have a relatively decent chance to make this game interesting.
