The Mississippi State Bulldogs have shared their depth chart for the third game of the 2023 Mississippi State football season.

As the Mississippi State football team gets set to face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks on the road in Columbia, the Bulldogs have shared their two-deep depth chart. And that means we can go ahead and take a look at it.

Zach Arnett and the Miss. State Bulldogs fell 41-14 to the LSU Tigers back in Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville. Now, MSU is 2-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play and MSU will need a win here to get to .500 in SEC play.

South Carolina is also coming off of a tough loss as the Gamecocks fell 24-14 to the Georgia Bulldogs (that’s not as bad as MSU’s loss, to be completely honest). And the Gamecocks, at 1-2, are also looking to get their first conference win of the season.

Let’s go ahead and look at the Mississippi State football depth chart for the Bulldogs’ game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

On offense, it looks like Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers is set to make yet another start and to lead the Bulldogs. Rogers will have Lideatrick “Tulu” Griffin and Jo’quavious “Woody” Marks helping lead the way for a Mississippi State offense that really needs to find some life and get going.

The Bulldogs will also likely need big outings from guys like Justin Robinson, Freddie Roberson and Zavion Thomas, who should all see the field at wide receiver. Ryland Goede is currently listed as an “or” sort of starter at tight end alongside Geor’quarius Spivey.

Up front, Kwatrivous Johnson is set at left tackle, Nick Jones will start at left guard, Cole Smith anchors the line at center, Steven Losoya is set for right guard, and Kameron Jones is set at right tackle.

On the defensive side of things, De’Monte Russell is set for defensive end, Nathan Pickering anchors the defensive front at nose guard, and Jaden Crumedy is set for defensive tackle.

In the linebacker corps, DeShawn Page will line up at SAM while Nathaniel Watson and Jett Johnson, who have garnered plenty of attention all offseason as defensive leaders for this team, are at MIKE and WILL respectively.

In the secondary, Decamerion Richardson is at corner along with Esaias Furdge. Shawn Preston is set at safety, though he is going to miss some time for a targeting penalty. Hunter Washington and Marcus Banks round out the secondary.
