After the Mississippi State football team was overmatched in an infuriating loss at home against the LSU Tigers, I’ve got some questions about the Bulldogs.

Saturday afternoon was awful. Abysmal. Just horrible. The Mississippi State Bulldogs were outmatched and overrun and the LSU Tigers took care of the Bulldogs with relative ease. And that was infuriating for Mississippi State football fans to watch.

Losing to LSU wasn’t exactly the worst thing ever. It was the fact that the Bulldogs were dominated on both sides of the ball and ended up losing 41-14 in a game that felt like it was 82-14.

Things were bad. The only thing MSU really excelled at was punting. And that’s not something you really want your team to be exclusively good at.

The Tigers were able to control the line of scrimmage as they imposed their will upon the Bulldogs on both sides of the ball. Tigers quarterback Jayden Daniels had no issue connecting with Malik Nabers and MSU just flat out couldn’t keep up with what the Tigers were able to produce.

So now, where do we go from here?

Mississippi State football: 3 questions after Bulldogs humbled at home vs. LSU Tigers

Well, the Bulldogs have to answer a few questions.

The showing that MSU put out on Saturday led to more questions than answers and things are only going to continue to heat up as SEC play continues with a road trip to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

So let’s start some soul searching and question answering, shall we?
