College football schedule week 1: Florida Gators football at Utah Utes football

Billy Napier and his Florida Gators football team are headed out West to the beautiful mountains of Utah to play the second game of a home-and-home series against Kyle Whittingham and his Utah Utes football team.

And this game could be an intriguing one.

Florida was able to get the best of Utah a season ago in a year that Napier and the Gators struggled considerably. And this win was arguably the high point of that season. Which, you never really want your season opener to be the best part of your year, but that’s just what it was for Florida a season ago.

Utah, which had a really strong season last year, is looking to continue that success and carry it forward. And beating Florida to avenge that loss from last season would be a really great way to do just that.

Florida football vs. Utah football: Schedule, how to watch

  • Who: Florida Gators (0-0, 0-0 SEC) vs. Utah Utes (0-0, 0-0 Pac-12)
  • When: 7:00 p.m., August 31, 2023
  • Where: Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • TV channel: ESPN

It’ll be fascinating to see who comes out on top of this one. This is almost certainly the Pac-12’s final year of existence and Utah could be a really strong contender in the Pac-12 this season.
