Who knows how this happened, but it’s providing a ton of fun to Mississippi State football fans. And that’s a good thing!

This is truly the best and most lighthearted, inconsequential and fun Mississippi State football vs. Ole Miss football Egg Bowl thing I’ve seen in a very long time. I know it’s easy to crack jokes on the internet, but I want to be fully transparent in that I love everything about this.

Unironically, I believe this is beautiful.

What is it, you may ask? Well, there is a weird Starbucks mug going viral right now thanks to one itsy bitsy mistake that involves the Mississippi State football stadium being painted red and blue and placed on the University of Mississippi’s campus.

It’s a Bulldog mug blunder! Or an Ole Miss mug mishap! It’s great and I love it and I want someone to send me one of these mugs.

(And the mug itself actually features really cool art, minus this stadium mishap mess).

Starbucks mug mishap confuses Mississippi State football stadium with Ole Miss football stadium

God bless this mug. And God bless the opportunity to crack some jokes on the internet. Because Mississippi State football fans are having some fun with this football rivalry Starbucks stadium mug confusion.

And it seems like some (like myself) want one of these beautiful messes.

It truly is a sight to behold and I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite like this! Occasionally we’ll get mistaken with Adidas and Texas A&M football stuff. But this? This is incredible.

I, for one, need more confused art that intertwines rival college football programs. I crave it. Give me more. Because this is good! It’s fun! And it lets us have fun on the internet.

Somehow, in some way, I want a mention of Mississippi State included in anything and everything created the represent Ole Miss. Put the Bulldogs everywhere. Accidentally make their red into a maroon. Let’s lean fully into this, national brands that have money.

Because this is a great moment of levity and good-natured rivalry fun. This rivalry gets heated from time to time. And this is fun. An Ole Miss fan once told me that sports should be fun and I agree. Fun is good.
