Zach Arnett keeps finding new star athletes to add to the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class. This time it’s Braylon Burnside.
Tuesday was a busy day for Zach Arnett and the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class. The Bulldogs kept finding new names to add to their list of commitments and Arnett’s thrilling recruiting momentum for the day was capped off by the addition of Braylon Burnside.
Burnside, a talented wide receiver from Starkville, Mississippi, has made the decision to stay in his hometown and commit to playing for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
So, it’s safe to say that the Dawgs Win Again.
Burnside weighs in at 6-0.5 and 185 pounds, which is solid size for a wide receiver in the SEC. And he certainly is talented. The young receiver has been drawing recruiting interest from programs across the country.
Mississippi State football: Braylon Burnside commits to Bulldogs
Among several other teams, Burnside received offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Ole Miss Rebels, Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Louisville Cardinals, Oregon Ducks, and the Tulane Green Wave.
According to his recruiting profile, Burnside’s primary recruiter was Chad Bumphis (who has been very busy having an integral role in recruiting for the Bulldogs as of late). In addition to Bumphis, it appears that Matt Brock may have also had a hand recruiting here.
Mississippi State’s 2024 recruiting class is shaping up nicely. As of right now, Mississippi State has the No. 20 ranked recruiting class nationally. The Bulldogs are sitting at No. 6 in the SEC, ahead of the likes of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ole Miss Rebels, Auburn Tigers, and so on and so forth.
The emphasis that Arnett and company are putting on recruiting, especially in the state of Mississippi, is paying off right now. Let’s hope this momentum keeps building and the Bulldogs can pull off an impressive recruiting haul once signing day arrives.
There’s a lot of time between now and then, but Mississippi State is recruiting well. The Bulldogs have a coaching staff that seems focused on that. And MSU has some NIL momentum going as well. Recruiting is fun right now. Let’s hope that keeps going.
