Zach Arnett got another big Mississippi State football recruiting win as the Bulldogs earned a commitment from JJ Harrell.

It sure seems like Zach Arnett is having a pretty good week so far. We’ve got even more big recruiting news for Arnett and the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class. JJ Harrell has announced that he is committing to join the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Harrell is a dynamic athlete and an incredibly talented wide receiver. The 4-star from Sardis, Mississippi holds a number of offers from notable programs, but he has committed to play in Starkville for the MSU Bulldogs.

The 6-0, 187 pound wide receiver certainly drew interest from all over the country, but he’s intent on playing in Maroon and White.

There are seriously a ton of programs who have been interested in courting Harrell. And the recruiting pressure from other programs will likely continue up until signing day happens.

That said, there’s some celebrating for Mississippi State football fans that can happen here. Mississippi State was able to get a commitment from Harrell while the Ole Miss Rebels weren’t.

Considering that Harrell is in Sardis and plays for North Panola High School, that’s a huge recruiting win for Arnett and company. Chad Bumphis and Darcel McBath, the two listed as the primary and secondary recruiters for Harrell, deserve a ton of credit for their work in recruiting him to Starkville.

With the addition of Harrell to the recruiting class, Mississippi State now has a dozen commits in the 2024 recruiting class. MSU is now up to No. 25 in the overall team rankings. The Bulldogs are currently sitting at No. 9 in the SEC, but that could theoretically change at any given moment.
