Marshall had defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish just a week before. The Bowling Green Falcons are coming to Starkville with a bit of momentum on their side after defeating the Thundering Herd just last weekend, but they received news today that might have hurt some of that momentum. Coach Scot Loeffler will not be making the trip to  Starkville with the Falcons.
