My father played a large role in my addiction to college football and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. I have grown up watching, listening, and traveling to SEC games all over the country with him. One of the conversations we tend to always have before the weekend is the betting lines. Now hear me out… We don’t actually place any bets, but we do seem to know how the games will end up. Every week, my dad and I will call each other to pick the SEC lines of the week.

Before the day kicks off at 11:00 a.m. CT, be sure to check out our picks. I am not saying that we’re always correct, but I am saying that we are usually close. We typically pick the Mississippi State Bulldogs no matter who they are playing so you might not want to use our advice in that game. The lines that we base our picks off of are found at FanDuel.com.

Kent State @ Georgia (-44.5)

Dad: I can’t bet against the best team in the nation right now. I’ll take UGA.

Landon: I can see the final score being 45-0… So, I’ll take UGA.

Missouri @ Auburn (-7.5)

Dad: Both teams seem to be a dumpster fire, but I’ll take Auburn.

Landon: I’m taking Missouri here.

Florida @ Tennessee (-10.5)

Dad: Whew… I feel like Tennessee might have a little too much hype right now, but because it’s a home game for them I’ll take UT.

Landon: I like Tennessee in this game, but I feel like it could come down to the wire. Give me UF to cover, but UT wins.

Tulsa @ Ole Miss (-20.5)

Dad: I’m going to pick Ole Miss to cover. Eventually, they’re going to play somebody.

Landon: I wish I could pick Tulsa, but it doesn’t look like anyone outside the SEC is going to stop the Kiffin offense. Ole Miss covers.

Northern Illinois @ Kentucky (-26.5)

Dad: I’ll pick Kentucky.

Landon: Based on the Vandy loss, UK covers.

Arkansas vs. Texas A&M (-2.5)

Dad: This is basically a pick-em game. I like the Hogs here.

Landon: I lean towards A&M and I’m not sure why. I’ll take the Aggies.

Vanderbilt @ Alabama (-40.5)

Dad: That one is hard. I’ll tell you what, I’ll take Vandy to cover.

Landon: Yeah… No. Saban rolls through Vandy.

New Mexico @ LSU (-31.5)

Dad: LSU covers.

Landon: I agree. Tigers cover.

Charlotte @ South Carolina (-22.5)

Dad: I’ll go with SC to cover.

Landon: South Carolina bounces back and wins by more than 3 touchdowns.

Bowling Green @ Mississippi State (-31.5)

Dad: We better cover. Need a bounce-back big Saturday. Give me the Bulldogs, 45-14.

Landon: Mississippi State wins in dominating fashion, 45-14. (I promise I didn’t cheat off pops)
