Mississippi State Football: Potential Breakout Performers Against Alabama
Number eight for the Mississippi State Football offense will not be playing anymore for the Bulldogs and little-used running back Kareem Walker has entered the transfer portal. The running back duties will fall to the true freshman: Jo’Quavious Marks and Dillon Johnson. Both young backs have performed at a high level as they spelled and then eventually replaced Kylin Hill in the lineup.
Both seem to fit the Air Raid scheme as they can catch the ball out of the backfield. Marks has 23 catches for 101 yards and Johnson has 11 for 43 yards. Together they have rushed for only 135 yards, but that is due to the scheme.
They are the future of the running back position so eventually, their rushes will increase. Both need to be utilized to keep the Alabama defense guessing.
