You can’t have a list of the best of the Dan Mullen years without Anthony Dixon. The bruising back from Jackson, Ms. left a legacy like no other in Mississippi State history.

During his four years as a Bulldog, Dixon recorded a single-season school rushing record (1,391 yds), and is the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards (3,994), rushing attempts (910), yards from scrimmage (4,443) and total touchdowns (46, tied with Nick Fitzgerald).

There wasn’t much Dixon didn’t accomplish, including being only the seventh player in SEC history to lead his school in rushing for four straight seasons.

Dixon was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played four years with the 49ers and then for two seasons with the Buffalo Bills and is currently not on an NFL roster.
