The women’s Mississippi State basketball team is bent on winning another SEC championship and Ole Miss is the next speed bump in the way of that goal.

This has to be one of the biggest motivating factors for Vic Schaefer’s Mississippi State basketball team this season. If I had to guess, the Bulldogs don’t want to see anyone else come out on top of the Southeastern Conference this season.

Even though Ole Miss has no real shot at winning it all in the SEC this season (or the one after that and maybe the one after that and probably the one following that and so on and so forth), the Rebels do currently function as the next obstacle for the Bulldogs.

Really none of these players really don’t know what it’s like to lose to Ole Miss, so the rivalry itself won’t be a huge factor here. But, looking to claim the SEC is something that should do more than motivate this Mississippi State basketball team.
