Ole Miss probably won’t be able to keep up with Anriel Howard.

To try and get away from Teaira McCowan (and Jessika Carter), the Ole Miss Rebels might try and emulate what Oregon did and try to run up and down the court, utilizing the lack of height on the Rebels’ roster as a strength.

Using speed to get past McCowan worked for Oregon, but Ole Miss definitely doesn’t have anywhere near the same sort of roster as the Ducks.

Plus, even if the Rebels did have a more talented roster, Anriel Howard would be right there to jump in and score points by the dozen. Howard is the second leading scorer for Mississippi State with 15.5 points per game while also getting 7.8 rebounds per game.

Against the Oregon Ducks, Howard was phenomenal, scoring 30 points and getting 6 rebounds. That would be more than enough to be able to beat a very vulnerable Ole Miss defense.
