Vic Schaefer is really, really good against the Ole Miss Rebels.

Did you know that Ole Miss currently holds an advantage in the all-time rivalry series between the Bulldogs and the Rebels? That’s right, technically, Ole Miss is one game above the Mississippi State basketball team in terms of wins in this rivalry.

But, well, that hasn’t been seen in recent years.

The Bulldogs have pretty much owned this series since Vic Schaefer arrived in Starkville and put the Mississippi State women’s basketball program back on the map. And so, yes, technically Ole Miss is one game ahead of MSU here, but the Rebels haven’t won a game in this series since January of 2014.

It’s been a little while since Ole Miss has actually been able to beat Mississippi State. Vic Schaefer is 10-2 against the Rebels. Mississippi State is riding a nine-game winning streak over Ole Miss.

That’s pretty good.
