Last night, the men’s Mississippi State basketball team got away from the Florida Gators thanks to some clutch play. Tomorrow night, the women’s Mississippi State basketball team will face South Carolina.
Ben Howland’s Mississippi State basketball team was able to take down the Florida Gators in The Hump last night! That’s huge for a team that badly needed a win. Tomorrow night, Vic Schaefer’s Mississippi State basketball team hosts the South Carolina Gamecocks. That’s huge as the Bulldogs and the Gamecocks battle for the SEC lead.
Here’s everything you need to know:
The men’s basketball team needed some late game heroics, but the Bulldogs came out on top:
- “Did clutch three minutes save the Mississippi State basketball season?” From Maroon and White Nation – the ending of last night’s game was huge! The Bulldogs absolutely needed Aric Holman and Quinndary Weatherspoon to come up big. And they did. Our buddy Justin Strawn thinks that this game may have made a huge impact on shaping the rest of the season.
Mississippi State has a huge matchup against South Carolina tomorrow night:
- “Mississippi State basketball: No. 7 Bulldogs to face No. 15 South Carolina on national stage” From Maroon and White Nation – This game could theoretically be an early battle for the Southeastern Conference title. The South Carolina Gamecocks are an incredible foe and thankfully they’re coming to Starkville rather than MSU heading to Columbia. Vic Schaefer will have to take his team to South Carolina at some point, but that’s at the end of the year and not now.
- “Mississippi State basketball gets primetime ESPN slot vs. South Carolina” From Maroon and White Nation – Battling the No. 15 Gamecocks on ESPN tomorrow night at 6:00 presents a huge opportunity for Mississippi State to build its brand and capture the eyes of the country.
Let’s do some good:
- “Matchmaker: West Point toddler needs bone marrow transplant” From the Daily Journal – Mason Murphy, a one-year old in West Point, Mississippi needs a bone marrow transplant. His parents are looking for a donor and they’re hoping that somebody out there can help. bethematch.org has all of the information on how to sign up for the bone marrow registry and what all goes into the donation process. Signing up is incredibly simple and it’s something that just about anyone can do within their lunch break. After the registration process, you’ll be sent a simple DNA test kit and then you ship that back to them. It’s as easy as that.
