2019 has officially started, folks. Vic Schaefer and his Mississippi State basketball team will play in the year’s first MSU sporting event. Buckle up and get ready for the game tonight.

2019 has begun and the 7th ranked Mississippi State basketball team appears ready to get the year going with a road game against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Coincidentally, as the MSU women’s team gets the year started with this game, the Bulldogs will also kickoff their SEC schedule with the road trip.

It’s time to start preparing for the Bulldog’s match-up with Arkansas. To do just that, we’ve got some news, notes, and other such fun stuff.

In case you missed it from Maroon and White Nation:

Let’s do some good:

  • Sarah Barnes’s Medical Expenses– I’ve shared this one before and I’ll share this one again. I’ll keep sharing it until the Barnes family meets their goal. I know firsthand just how expensive medical bills can be, and I’m sure many of our readers do as well. The Barnes family love MSU and they need our help. Let’s do something to help them From their GoFundMe:

"As many of you know last week Sarah Barnes was hospitalized with severe abdominal pains. Since then she has been transferred from Baptist Golden Triangle to Birmingham for several surgeries to help address the issue of blood clots. She has been in ICU for a week, and Sarah had to have another surgery yesterday afternoon due to a clot forming and will remain in ICU for a few more days at least."

The fundraiser was created back on Halloween and the Barnes family is still working to raise money to cover their expenses. Let’s come together as the Mississippi State community and help them out. If you aren’t at a place where you can donate but still want to help, sharing their link would do just that.
