Mississippi State football: Point spread versus LSU announced
The Mississippi State football team will head to Death Valley this weekend as an underdog when they take on the LSU Tigers.
The Mississippi State football team picked up a much needed win last Saturday when they beat the Auburn Tigers 23-9. They spent this weekend getting some much needed rest during their open date.
While they were taking the week off, the opponent for the Mississippi State football team for week 8 of the 2018 season was getting a huge momentum building win against the Georgia Bulldogs. The LSU Tigers beat the Georgia Bulldogs 36-16 in a game that caught many people by surprise.
The LSU Tigers will be very confident when they welcome the Mississippi State football team to Baton Rouge on October 20th. They are the fifth ranked team in the country, and they are hoping to put together a really good season that ends in their first appearance in the College Football Playoff.

The Bulldogs are hoping to throw a wrench in those plans. If they are going to do so, the Mississippi State football team will have to do so as an underdog when they hit the road this Saturday. According to Oddshark.com, the Mississippi State football will be seven point underdogs as of this writing.
It’s not surprising the Bulldogs will be the underdog. With LSU playing as well as they have through the first seven football games of the 2018 season, seeing them as the touchdown favorite over the Mississippi State football team is not a shock.
But the Bulldogs will have some confidence of their own as they take the field with the LSU Tigers. MSU won last year’s game between the two teams by 30 points. It was one of the most lopsided victories ever for the Mississippi State football team over the LSU Tigers.
This game should be a good one. Both teams will rely on their defense to keep the pressure on the opposing teams. It’s safe to say that whichever team’s defense has the most mistakes will be the one hanging their heads in defeat come Saturday night.
