The No. 23 Mississippi State football team is set to host Dan Mullen and his unranked Florida Gators
The 23rd ranked Mississippi State football team is going to welcome its former head coach back to Starkville as Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators are in town. The Bulldogs are trying to recover from stumbling a week ago against the Kentucky Wildcats.
Only a handful of people truly expected the Mississippi State football team to fall last week, but that’s exactly what happened. The Bulldogs lost to the Wildcats, but they’re not the only team that has lost to Kentucky lately.
The Florida Gators have also played the Kentucky Wildcats and the Florida Gators also lost to Kentucky. Now, both MSU and Florida are trying to avoid a second loss from a Southeastern Conference foe as the Bulldogs and Gators play tonight.

The Mississippi State football team can’t afford to lose to Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators. The Bulldogs need to do everything possible to salvage the season that was potentially seriously set back in that loss to Kentucky.
So, that means that Mississippi State must win tonight. And then the Bulldogs need to win several more games in the future. But, well, we’re focused on this week. So I’m going to say it again, MSU needs to beat Florida.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs have a solid shot at beating Florida. The Bulldogs have a complete roster with talent at every position. MSU just can’t let emotional mistakes set them back on drive after drive as they did a weekend ago. With this game being potentially more emotional, State must play smart football against Florida this evening.
