Nick Fitzgerald

Nick Fitzgerald hasn’t played football in a while. He also had never played in Joe Moorhead’s offense. Both of those were somewhat evident when the Mississippi State football team took the field against Kansas State. There were plenty of off throws by Fitzgerald and things could have been better for MSU’s senior quarterback.

However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Mississippi State’s starting quarterback! He actually had a pretty solid game, all things considered. And even if you decide to take that contextualization away from things, Fitzgerald threw for 154 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception while also running for 159 yards.

Yeah, he only completed 11 of his 27 passes. That’s bad.

Fitzgerald also totaled 313 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his first game back. That’s noteworthy. Hopefully, things will improve for Fitz as the season moves forward.
